Return of the King

Bedřich Dlouhý

5/3/2015 – 3/5/2015

With the exhibition “Return of the King”, the Museum Montanelli is presenting the work of Czech painter Bedřich Dlouhý. Bedřich Dlouhý previously exhibited at the Museum Montanelli in 2010, when he showed his exhibition Self-portrait V., subtitled King of Art 1.

The new exhibition aims to reflect the broad range of his work, with a particular focus on recent works. It also shows the multifaceted nature of  Dlouhý’s artistic and technical interests and abilities.
The often monumental works resulting from his persistent need to create and to do so with an almost superhuman determination will surely not disappoint audiences.

Dlouhý’s personal painting style remains unmistakeably unique. The immense inventiveness reflected in his drawings, paintings or objects confirms that he is one of the greatest masters of his time.
The exceptional illusionist of Czech painting returns to the stage.

The exhibition runs until 3 May 2015.

Exhibition opening, March 4th, 2015
